What is the occasion?
Pride Month is an annual celebration held in June to honour the LGBTQIA+ community, commemorate its history, and advocate for equality and acceptance. It marks the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City, a pivotal event in the LGBTQIA+ rights movement.
How can I celebrate?
Celebrate Pride Month by encouraging employees to decorate their workspaces with rainbow colours and Pride flags. Organise a lunch-and-learn session with LGBTQ+ speakers or activists, educating employees about the importance of inclusivity.
